Therapy modalities include constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT), bimanual therapy and/or hybrid approach which can improve motor control and reduce risk of developmental disregard.

Executive Function
This is how we plan and organize our work and ourselves to keep track and complete activities at school and all our daily routines like dressing, mealtime, studying, and hobbies.

Emotional Regulation
Emotions are complex, and we often do not experience them in isolation which makes it even trickier for children to manage. When we have a hard time managing emotions, our behaviours can impact how we participate at school, play with friends, and mange at home.

Getting Started and Appointments
Thank you for your interest in Occupational Therapy Services at Building Skills Together.
The first step is a free intake call (20 – 30 minutes) where we talk about your child’s goals and review our pricing, consent, service model, and policies. Please click here to book your intake call. If these times do not work or if you have any questions, please email at email liz@buildingskillstogether.com.
Therapy appointments can occur on a weekly, biweekly, monthly or consultative basis depending on availability, goals, and your schedule. We reassess every 6 to 8 sessions to ensure we are making progress on the goals and the frequency of therapy is appropriate.
If all in-person spots are booked, you will be placed on a wait list and notified of the next open availability. It is challenging to predict availability of spots due to the nature of therapy and child development. If you are open to cancellation spots, we can notify you of those, just let us know.
Discharge is not a scary word here! It’s a celebration as it means your child is doing well and you have the skills to support them. I will always be here for a check-in if you need!
